My Fridays recently have been:
Bike to The Raptor Center, Volunteer for 8 hours or so, then bike to Dinkytown to a class I'm taking at Magus.
U of M transitway is where I'm snaggin these pictures.
But not this little guy
Nortern Saw Whet Owl Aegolius acadicus
If you have never heard of the idea of Seven Generations, it is, simply put, a way of life in which one considers what one's impact is on the seventh generation down the line i.e. one's children's children's children's children's children's children's children.
At the Raptor Center clinic today I held my first Bald Eagle who had been found depressed (not as in "woe is me" but as in pysically depressed) and shallowly breathing in a field close to a euthanized goat. The eagle was limp as I held it and where one needs to hold said species while wearing full thick-leathered welding garb, I only needed the gloves because it was so unresponsive.
Make sure to change your own oil, and to pour the old shit into storm drains.
I have also recently been pondering why I am so sarcastic when it comes to things that are important. It's honestly kind of bothering me. If anyone actually reads this I would like to see what you think about why being sarcastic about important issues seems preferable to actually stating facts and whatever the opposite of being sarcastic abut imprtant issues is.
\\And now, without further ado; more pictures.
One of my Favorite views of the city; perhaps this very theme will be my theme one day. Yum!
